The Aurora Whisperer Ltd. (Revontulikuiskaaja Oy) was officially founded in autumn 2021, based in Inari-Saariselkä, Finland. The company offers sustainable high-quality activities and services for anyone interested in nature and its' phenomena. Our expertise is Aurora hunting (Northern Lights Hunting), Aurora Photographing and helping our customers to take the best possible photos of Auroras.
We also offer photographing service in the form of customers being photographed together with auroras. Aurora safaris are planned and executed together with Pro-Safaris (Lapin Luontolomat Oy).

Safaris
The purpose of the trip is to guide customers in photographing northern lights and also to give customers the opportunity to photograph northern lights in the arctic nature. Because northern lights are difficult to predict we cannot give full guarantee of their occurrence during the trip. However, excursions are only arranged when our experienced guides are confident about the presence of northern lights and visibility weather-wise. This arrangement guarantees the best opportunity to experience and immortalize the northern lights.

The story of The Aurora Whisperer began about ten years ago, during one late autumn boat trip on in lake Saimaa in southern Finland, the founder of the company Kai ”Kaitsu” Kiiskilä found a spark for northern light photographing. In the darkest hours of the night, he woke up and happened to look out through the boat window. He found the whole northern skyline was filled with green, purple and red auroras. Being an experienced star photographer, he grabbed his camera and tripod and jumped to the pier to take photos of this fascinating phenomenon. That very moment kickstarted a routine of intensive waiting for aurora alarms and long series of aurora photographing trips in the darkness of southern Finland.
Later Kaitsu worked as a wilderness guide in Saariselkä Inari and was able to fully apply his experience as an Aurora hunter and photographer. There he realized that the auroras he saw in southern Finland were only a pale hint of the auroras blazing in the Saariselkä sky.
”During the time I have spent in Saariselkä, I have made a lot of aurora trips and safaris around Inari. I have made a rule, not to organize any trip unless all the indicators that I use to forecast Aurora weather show at least moderate chance to see decent Auroras. In spring 2020 when I was analysing the past safari season, I realized my principles had paid off. I had managed to provide my customers a
chance to see and photograph the northern lights on every single trip we made throughout the winter.
Even though I call myself “The Aurora Whisperer”, I’m not crazy enough to believe I can simply summon the aurora with a whisper. Despite that, I know we definitely have some kind of connection - maybe Auroras whisper to me when they are ready to show up again.”
